Battle of MathThe teacher walks around
handing out the dreaded
math test

The packet flutters in front
of you, taunting you
to run

You catch it, determined
to prove that you're
not afraid

Equations and numbers
stare at you
mocking

You pick up a pencil
sharpened to a razor point
ready to fight

The first problem flies by
The smug warrior rises
victorious

The battle rages on
slowly but surely
you go on

Then you come to
that one problem
harder then all

The problem and the warrior
push against each other
struggling

Pencil and numbers
clash against
each other

Then the teacher calls out
"Times up! Hand in your
test,"

The warrior's

The CurtainRain.

Crystalline curtain.

Freshness ever-falling.

Dreams encased in diamonds.

Enchanting.

SlenderBetter keep moving,
Evade his deadly grasp.
His long, tendril arms
Inching ever closer.
Nothing will stop him.
Darkness hides him,
Your vision
Obscured by the vast
Unknown. But he's always...

Misery Is A Tantalizing MistressMisery
Has taken root
Deep within the buried confines
Of my sick, ailing heart.

They say it loves company.
Well, she is a tantalizing mistress
Peering over the woven fabric
Of her fan of sorrows.

She knows what tricks to pull
What devious ways to bring out
My deepest, darkest emotions

Trotting over to me,
She took my hand.
Firmly, she grips it
And drags me with her

She brings me on a cruel, torturous voyage
Laughing at my tears,
Salty as the seas we ride.

I cry
Praying for my freedom
Wishing for her
To vanish like a specter.

InnocenceInnocence is gone.
Beauty is despair. It can
Change minds, but not mine.

ChancesEvery great love starts with taking a chance
But in the end something always goes wrong
It's not always full of perfect romance
Not all lovers are destined to belong
So many obstacles are in their way
But they always seem to find each other
Alas! Problems arise and she can't stay
Another chance, one after another
She had hoped the third time would be the charm
But it was just another chance wasted
Yet again her fragile heart was in harm
She only wished that it could have lasted
No more tries, they have run out of chances
The only thing left is stolen glances

No Longer Lost!Impossibly lost, where am I?
Panic sets in, tears in eye
Where is this place so full of fear?
Daylight is fading no people here.

Footsteps echo, shadows fall
Alone and lost not brave at all
Trembling limbs suddenly weak
Heart is thudding, rising beat.

What is that sound I think I hear?
Choir is singing somewhere near
Follow sound it will surely guide
To place of safety, no need to hide.

Wooden church appears in dark
Glorious voice sings like lark
Realization I am finally found
Music soothes, then surrounds.

The Black AvalancheA black cloud
A darker haunting
The lifeless bodies crawl beneath your feet…
Mindless ghouls from Hell shall eat!

The Black Avalanche,
The stormy darker pit
The last life to live,
The last torch you lit!

A black curtain
A darker howl
The mindless jaws taste flesh and spit…
A white specter drains life and wit!

This Black Avalanche,
The eleventh hour entwined
This story to crumble upon you,
This creature mutated and revived.

A haunting, deep inside your soul
Creeping, spawning mindless hounds
A ghostly tear on Azrael's face,
Last ray of hope, blasted in space…

My haunting, the tentacles of fear.
This disgusti

Shadow in the night

I hear you creep,
I hear you sneak.
Footsteps behind me!
A shadow sweeps across the empty lot.
My heart beats franticly in my chest,
As I quicken my pace.

The fear takes over,
As a twig snaps!
Just a bump in the night I tell myself.
But I know better.
I feel his eyes on me!
His gaze of death.

His skin as ice,
The grin of a madman!
I have encountered this monster before.
Not even human enough to be a man.
His eyes like flamed daggers!
Digging into my flesh!

A scream escapes my lips,
As I meet his gaze.
My skin crawls,
And I become ice cold,
As he draws closer.
I cannot think! I cannot move!

The end has come,
The end of

Not So CharmingHer prince was going to save her
from the dragons of heartbreaking loneliness
from the trolls, insecurity and incompetence
and from the throat tearing tears she bears each sleepless night.

Until he realized that the busty blond in the neighboring tower was so much better.

What is Love?

Love
It isn't the size of her breasts
Nor is it the way you dress
Love isn't your wealth
Or popularity
Love isn't the jerk
Love isn't sex

Love is patient
Love is kind
Love is when you'll be there for him
Love is when you'll stay by his side
Love is when you'll spend eternity with him
Love is when you'll die for him
Love is to love

Music in my soulIt's the music I now understand
Ignore it's message I now can't
I hear the music of the song
My mind hearing it along

The song begins, sounds play
The words in my mind still stay
Listen closely, listen good
The words finally understood

They come around, grab my soul
The words have reached their goal
My mind is depressed, I feel down
Upon my face an eternal frown

The sounds play with my heart
My moods always far apart
Sad now, happy a moment later
Both of each other the greater

Enjoy the music for the sound
It will make you jump around
Enjoy the music for the words
It's you soul it girds.

AutumnI can think of nothing
Which so inspires
A surge of creativity
Like nature on fire-
Autumn colors
In all their fantastic glory,
The trees like flames
And bringing stories
Into my head
About such beauty-
To appreciate this,
Our gift, our duty.
The wind picks up
The fragile leaves,
An autumn rainbow
Creeping up the trees.
The air is crisp
And chills the bone;
The breeze sways the oaks,
And the pines begin to moan.
Boots crunch the colors,
All vibrant autumn shade;
In reds, oranges, and browns,
The world seems to soften and fade.
Shoulders shiver
Underneath the rising cold;
The sky clears
And becomes a tawny gol

SilenceThey say speaking is silver and silence is gold,
In some cases it might be true.
But there is also a truth that goes untold,
Even if it might be quite blue.

Silence is sometimes bad,
Not always so don't get upset.
Some things that are evil can make us go mad,
Some things that are even a threat.

Even if your enemies will make your blood boil,
The silence of your friends will be what hurts you more.
Words might hurt us, but silence can torment us.

love is hurtingThe beautiful days we held so close, I once said to 'hello' to you.
Our meeting was brief, and simple.
Caring, and kind.
We left with helpless hearts.
Neither regretting, nor forgetting.

Our meeting place, once helped me smile.
Overcoming each day.

I still wish for the past,
with crying into my hands, at last.
Letting lose the tears,
I know I shouldn't fear.
You tell me "You'll move on".

But the glass still digs into my skin, and prickles each time I see you.
Wandering like I'm not here.

I touch my lips, and hope for yours to return.
The tears keep streaming, never forgetting.

That does not come from your beating heart?
Why is it, that you have part
For our separation, time
Can be our savior
For I wish my life back
To end this condemnation
To hell.

To destroy a world: to deconstruct
For another, for us.
A world of characters, of words for us
To reign, to rule, to love.
